
Mulka/Jackfruit fritter is a jackfruit dish popular in Mangalore, Karnataka. This dish is very simple to prepare and will make your jackfruit season interesting. Serves: 2-3
Duration: 10-15 mins
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup grated coconut
- 3/4th cup jaggery
- 1 cup jackfruit
- 100 gms rice flour
- 1 cup wheat flour
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp elaichi powder
- Oil
Method:
- Grind grated coconut, jackfruit, jaggery, salt and elaichi powder into a smooth paste.
- Add rice flour into the paste and mix it well.
- Add wheat flour part by part and mix it to make a soft dough, so that you can form balls with the batter.
- Add oil into a deep frying pan and deep fry the batter by forming into small balls.
