Paneer Bhurji

Ingredients:

  • 200 gms crumbled paneer/cottage cheese
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp jeera powder
  • 1 tsp dania powder
  • 2 finely chopped green chilies
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup chopped capsicum(red/yellow/green)
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 large onion diced

Method:

  1. Pour 3 tbsp oil into a pan on low flame and add diced onion and 2 finely chopped green chilies, saute till it turns translucent, then add a tbsp of ginger garlic paste and saute it for a while(don’t burn it).
  2. Now add capsicum and stir it till you see capsicum is slightly fried, then add 2 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp jeera powder, 1 tsp dania powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, a tsp of garam masala, salt to taste and mix it well.
  3. Next crumbled paneer/cottage cheese into the pan and mix it well with the spices, onions and capsicum, fry this for a while till the paneer is cooked.
  4. Garnish with finely chopped corriander and serve.
